Patrick Henry Carter/George Washington Carter

Looking for information on Patrick Henry Carter, b. Columbus Ga Feb 9, 1831, and married Mary Ann Susan Smith b. Alabama Oct 3, 1833. Also looking for information on Patrick Henry Carter's brother, George Washington Carter b. Georgia april 1834, and married Julia Ann Strickland, b. Dec 22, 1834. Patrick Henry Carter left Georgia about 1852, and eventually settled in Catahoula Parish, La. George Washington Carter eventually settled in the Pensacola, FL area, and was a ship's captain. Any information on these two men and their ancestors would be appreciated.
