I have hit a brick wall. I have a J. Henry Cope who shows in Tippecanoe County, Indiana as b: 1825 (three place of birth, In./oh./ia.???)He married Anna or Hannah Mercer in Tippeconoe Co., In. and had 6 or 7 children. He moved to Harrison Co., Mo. then on to Bates Co., Mo.where he died.J. Henry cope may have been James Henry Cope as I think or John or???????? One son thought to be William Grant Cope b: 1862.
