Amelia Elizabeth Copeland (1790) VA/NC

I need to find birth verification and/or documentation for Amelia Elizabeth Copeland Abt. 1790 VA?NC?TN?), daughter of Col. Stephen Calvin Copeland (1756) from VA/NC. She was married to Richard Poston. Col. Stephen Calvin Copeland fought in the Am. Rev. and I need to prove she was his daughter for my application for Daughters of the American Revolution for my three granddaughters. I have everything else but this. I need to know where the info comes from or if you have it, if you would send me a copy. If you can help, please get in touch with me. Thank you.
