Catherine Floyd Pease

Hello,
My ancestor Catherine Floyd Pease was born in western New York in 1807. Her parents were Asa Pease and Eunice Brown.
Catherine married Elijah Haws in 1829 in Ohio.
My question is where did she get Floyd in her name? Is she related to the Signer of the Declaration of Independence William Floyd who is from western New York?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
